For one of these trucks that's not so bad. GM did a lousy job on the paint in this era.

Re: My 1964 Suburban Project

I think I will try to get the pieces from another Sub rather than trying to patch those with homemade panels. There are a couple at a local wrecking yard that are in better shape in the rear.

Re: My 1964 Suburban Project

Thanks Dino. I am gonna use the front clip. I was gonna build a complete frame but I dont want this build to take too long so Im gonna simplify it a little by using the stock front clip. It will be Zd 3.75" and bodydropped 2". Sorry for the crappy pics I need to get better light on that side of the shop.

Re: My 1964 Suburban Project

A few parts to go on it.

And a smooth column.

The motor and tranny out of my 69 will be going in it.

Along with the boyds.

Re: My 1964 Suburban Project

Thanks it will be together as soon as possible. There wont be as much chrome on the front of the motor this time around. The pullies and brackets will be chrome but the water pump and alternator will not. And I wont have power steering.
