what is the diffrence between 71&72 and 73up rubber brake hose? From what I can find the rotors, calipers, and wheel bearings all apear to be the same but the lines come up diffrent. Any help would be great.

Re: Hydraulic Hose

I think the steel lines they connect to are in different places.

Re: Hydraulic Hose

I have a couple LMC catalogs and compared the rotors and they are the same as well as the calipers, but the brake hoses are different. the hoses don't have the same part numbers.

Re: Hydraulic Hose

Simply stated, the 73-87 hoses are a good bit longer.

They go to the frame rail in front of the crossmember.

The 71-72 hoses go to a tab on the crossmember, well back of where the 73+ hoses go to.

Also, the end is different...

71-72 on top
73-87 on bottom

Don't get shook up though, the 71-72 hoses are still plenty available, so use whichever your truck calls for.
