My dad, (he's 61 BTW), always told me a small block didn't start to run good until it hit 7500! He grew up with 283's and 327's.

I started out with 265's (that what came in my 56-205HP)-then to 283 to 327 to 350 to the present 355.

Yes-it's got a 1967 Camaro 12 bolt under it that has been shorten 12" with Ford 9" housing ends and Ford axles that were shorten and resplined to fit the 12 bolt. (axles are 23.5" on both sides) (with this setup the axles stay put if you break one)
