seat belt questions

i have removed a few sets of 67 belts and was wondering if there should only be one plastic sleve on the inner latch lap belts like in the picture or one on each side? if only one what side does it go on? been years since i removed them and before digital cameras and i keep seeing sets for sale with only one of them. also when optioned with shoulders do the inner shoulder mounting plates go under the lap mounts so the plastic sleve can go on top? thanks for any help on this.

Re: seat belt questions

Interesting point....Of all the 67's I have pulled, the drivers side outer belt (female end) has had the plastic sleeve. I have never pulled a set that has had plastic sleeves on both female belts.

I don't recall seeing the plastic sleeves on both sides either. Just the one...
Another question, did all 67s have the chrome, thin headed bolts?

All the ones I have pulled have had the thin headed bolts, as they are a different thread than the 68-up. Incidentally, the 67 bolts are also the correct thread for the shoulder belts in all years.

Re: seat belt questions

even the date tags were sewn in different spots cause of the sleve. one is lower without the sleve and the other is just above the top of it in this pic.

Re: seat belt questions

so do you think the shoulder belt anchor would mount under the sleve then on the driver side?
