New kid on the block...
Hi Y'all,
I'm the new kid on the block. Hope I can come in here for advice and info. I was GIVEN a 1972 Chevy 4X4. I got it for doing the restoration, paint and bodywork on a 78 Balzer for a friend. I got the truck and the motor ( 350) from the Blazer, for my efforts. The TH350, transfer case, both axles ( Dana ) , the brakes are already rebuilt. I got an extra cab( as the one on the truck is in so-so shape with dents and door sill rust), doors glass, new in the box weather striping and cab gaskets, and a custom built flatbed using diamond plate ( which I plan to sell or trade for a good condition short bed), it also has Power steering, power disc brakes, and factory A/C, new springs. I think of it as a half-done jigsaw puzzle. I just need to paint it, ( soon as I decide on a color), put in the engine, etc. So naturally I am in search of info on the truck, and a message board just like this one. I plan to finish it and put it on the market. That's how I am getting paid for my work on the 78 Blazer I did. I won't agree to this kind of trade-out again...my garage is full of parts, mydriveway looks like a auto lot and I have the neighborhood association on my case now. From now on I only work on my own vehicles or famliy. But I digress... I look forward to learning and sharing info with y'all. Michael and his free 72 SB 4X4 |

Welcome from AZ! Keep plugging away, you'll make it a nice truck. Problem is, you'll fall in love with it and keep it!

Welcome from "just up the road a ways." Sounds like you've got a good project. And you've found the best resource for working on these trucks.
