I have a 72 that has a option cut out of the build sheet just wondering if there was a certain order the options were listed in.

The options are listed in alphabetical order. Sorry I can't help with your missing one

Just to clarify what he is saying here is alphabetic order according to the RPO code. That's why you see Tim's choices being between N40 and U63.
There's a good chance everyone understood that but just wanted to be sure in case someone didn't totally understand.

Re: 72 grande swb info

Good point. Plus I omitted anything that would be included like P03 Chromed Hub Caps or a possible tire option. Tires could be on a single line for two, three or five upgraded from base equipment.

Re: 72 grande swb info

Based on how options would have been listed at that trim level and model here is my short list. Best guess is a U16 Tachometer was removed at some point.

N40~
PA1 DELUXE WHEEL COVERS
P01 FULL WHEEL COVERS
P13 S/M WHEEL CARRIER
TP2 AUXILIARY BATTERY
T60 HEAVY-DUTY BATTERY
UY1 CAMPER WIRING
U01 MARKER LAMPS
U16 TACHOMETER
U63~

Re: 72 grande swb info

By looking at my SPID above the item would have been described with few letters like my Heavy duty battery. About the same length of letters. That's my guess anyhow.

Re: 72 grande swb info

U16 Tachometer is really the only thing I can see fitting. There were variations in SPID descriptions but by 72 these were much more consistant. Without knowing the assembly plant and the first six of the serial number this is as good as its going to get.

Re: 72 grande swb info

Sweet truck! Wonder why anyone would bother messing with the SPID like that?

Re: 72 grande swb info

Hard to tell from that picture when it might have been done.
Its possible it was swapped out when new by the dealer trying to sell a truck. More likely it was removed by someone who wanted to keep it for his future truck and didn't want the SPID to show it was missing.

Re: 72 grande swb info

It's possible that it was not an intentional removal of an RPO# and description, although that is how it appears. It makes no sense to cut it out
