When I started typing, I was #1, I type too slow!

Even though I didn't work on the truck this weekend... I did take her out cruisin' several times!!

Still got fuel pump problem.. I'll get it squared away soon.

Re: October 5 edition what did you get done?

Sold my Ford, bought a Toyota. Went on a triple date with some friends, went go-kart racing, and ran a bunch of errands. I also sandblasted, primed and painted my 74/74 core support pieces in preperation for putting them along with a '73 grill on my '77.

Re: October 5 edition what did you get done?

Yard work took over my life this weekend. Figured I had better get it done this weekend since I'll be smelling Nitro (NHRA Virginia Nationals) next weekend.

I gave the "Heap" the weekend off. Took the wife for a cruise in the 65 Chevelle Saturday night.

I swapped out the front outside door handles this weekend. Just finished up the passengers side a bit ago in fact.

I cut/spliced on 2 Y-pipes to make one Y-pipe for the Thorley Headers I bought for the Jimmy. My brother came over today and welded them up.

Re: October 5 edition what did you get done?

I've been busy studying for an analyzer test that I have tommorrow (monday). I'm finding it tough to get anything truck related with college duties building up, however I did lineup up a tach cluster for my 81. It is from a 78 blazer.

Yesterday- nothing. Went canoeing all day.

Today... welded new mounts on an air tank and got it painted to match the other one, got my sway bar mounts welded to the control arms (finally), got the control arms and sway bar painted, and did a brake job on my dad's truck.

Re: October 5 edition what did you get done?

I started a little home remodeling project this weekend. I tore out the 30 year old wood paneling in the living room and started replacing it with drywall. I actually got to use my truck for what it was made for, HAULING STUFF.

My wife actually rode in it with me for the first time going to Home Depot to buy some materials. The truck is a little too loud for her, plus I don't have the a/c working yet. She was a bit skeptical, so it's a good thing we didn't break down!!

Well it is still on the table... but It seems fishy to me. I looked around and 69 350 powered auto tranny firebirds don't bring that much in that shape. Even still it seems a bit to good to be true. I am still thinking it over but if i get more interested in it I am gonna break out the magnate and do some real good searching. This is the north and cars rot just sitting inside a garage looking out the window

Also I did some work on my truck today and she has alot of sentimental value to me so that weighs in.

Not a dang thing! Laid on my back under my truck scraping alot of Georgia clay from it. Getting ready for a trans swap. I may just pull the engine and all when I do so I can paint the headers, engine and trans.

Re: October 5 edition what did you get done?

Reinstalled the horn mechanism inside the steering wheel, man that little spring with the shaft that has to be trimed is a pain. I cut the original to short but was able to find a rivet that was the same size to replace it.

Re: October 5 edition what did you get done?

I put the '80 in the shop to get some basic work done while i was out of town Friday and it runs much better than before. The idle is slow and steady and my kickdown works now! Saturday was my 3 year olds Bday party and that night on my way to have a few cold ones with the boys my alternator gave up the ghost so I bought a new one and put it on in the parking lot. Sunday I watched the race (nice going Carl!!) and made a run to the gas station ($3.29) to fill the tank. Pretty good weekend.

Re: October 5 edition what did you get done?

Saturday I went over to the Texas Motor Speedway and walked around the Goodguy's show there most of the day. Yesterday I started to finish the new wood for my bed. I am hoping to get my truck back from paint after 4 months within a week!! grrrrr....I picked a slow shop that just hasn't got it together for me yet.....That's a whole long story..... Here are some pictures of the wood getting the grain raised and sanded. I did it 3 times and will start to stain and seal it this week!!!
