Weekly Sightings

ive decided since i see quite a few pre 72 chevys and gmc's that i wanted to make a thread and as i see them, ill take pics and post them on here. i figure that maybe it will give other people ideas of what to do with their truck or at least have some pics of different trucks to look at. ill be posting mainly 60-72, but if i see a square body that is cool looking i may post it. if anyone out there is looking for inparticular trucks let me know, im sure ill find one. subscribe you you want and ill upload as i see them. just going to be a collection of old trucks.
the first pic was a long bed gmc. saw him this morning at the local gas station/breakfast stop.
#2 was a '67 longbed step side, original 327 pulled out, now a 305 with a 4spd.
# 3 i couldnt get a good pic of, its about a 71/72 longbed. very very clean, rallys and all.
anyone is welcome to join and upload pics they have.

Here's one, a '69 C20 that's across the street from my favorite Chinese restaurant.

Actually, there's a bunch around me that I haven't taken pics of, I should get on that...

Re: Weekly Sightings

Mixed feelings on this one guys, maybe at least shade/black out the licence plates. Just because you dont have any bad intensions when taking a picture and posting doesn't mean everyone else on the web wouldn't either. Call me paranoid if ya want, but this day and age alot of people (who shouldn't) have access to getting exact address location information from a national state licence data base. Mel

Re: Weekly Sightings

Two more I've got pics of, the first was in either Montana or Oregon when I was out there on business, the last is on my fiance's road.

The front rim is a ring rim, do they still do those in Florida? The tire people won't even touch them here in California. Nice pics.

Why do people always feel blacking out a license plate is necessary, hundreds of strangers see it every day as you drive down the road....

Re: Weekly Sightings

Here is a very clean 67 c/20 i saw last week at a service station about a half hour from me. I turned around to check it out. Looked to be very original, except for the hubcaps. If you'll notice on the hubcaps, the bowtie is painted the color of the body. Pretty cool touch i thought. Truck had CA plates on it... must have made it's way to the right coast somehow

Great thread, I seen this last Tuesday outside Albuquerque! I liked the 8 MPG! decal on the window.

Very cool idea guys. IMHO the 60-66 guys and squares would appreciate it as well. Maybe you can post those years in the appropriate forums so all can enjoy.
