6.0 engine swap
Hey all
I have a 69 c-10 I pulled a 2000 silverado 6.0 liter motor and manual trans. I wanted to know if there is an easy way to swap the 6.43 first gear to the other option which I believe was a 5.61? Or the other option I was considering was pulling the trans from a camero or a corvette. thanks in advance |

Re: 6.0 engine swap
I assume it has an nv4500 behind it. It should have the 5.61 first as long as the trans is newer than 1993. If your looking for performance the t56 while pricey would be the way to go. The truck transmissions were meant for pulling heavy loads and getting work done. They weren't meant to be shifting fast or hard. The gear splits aren't that great for performance either.
