Finally found her!

hey guys,
so i have been searching for a nice c 10 for a reasonable price that i can have for a project truck. My dad gave me the fever to get a project truck since i see him working on his suburban and blazer all the time, i figured it was my turn to have a cool truck
This is what i bought this weekend for $1000 bucks, let me know what you think.

i'll have more pics up tomorrow

Re: Finally found her!

That`s alot of truck for $1,000...as in,you got a whole truck for a grand!! And,it looks real decent. The seat`s in great shape.Does it have the SPID on the inside of the glovebox door still?Who knows, but I think it could be a Highlander w/Cheyenne Super dash parts. Is that floor rubber or carpet?

Re: Finally found her!

I see a couple of major problems from those pics.
1: the bed floor is solid and not dented beyond recognition
2: rockers are intact
3: the grille shell is not banged up
4: side trim is all there
5: it is all one color

in all fairness to a new member I will help you out. haul that wreck up here and I will trade even up for mine. that way you have things to work on and gain experience.

Re: Finally found her!

from Ohio Seraph ... I trust on the "memo" part of the check your wrote "Thank You" cause you got a lot of truck for $1000. I am also interested if the SPID label if it is still on the glove box door? That will tell us a lot about your truck. Seraph ... you have proven that if one is patient then one can find a good deal on these trucks. To many of us rush into buying ... you showed us that if you wait the truck will find you.

Re: Finally found her!

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! I am looking forward to being a part of this board, i have been lurking around this board for a long time and have found it has help me and my dad out a ton. but anyways here are some more pictures.
i have a question about the engine and the way it sits in the bay. There seems to be a big gap between the firewall and engine, it has been forever since my dad has owned a chevy truck and can't remember if they all sit like that. There are some more holes like the engine could slide back some more. That is the best i can explain it here are some pics of the engine and the mounts, hopefully they can explain it better lol thanks in advanced.

It just seemed like there was a bigger gap by the fire wall then in any of our other trucks

just a few more of the truck

Re: Finally found her!

Welcome fellow Texan! This is an awesome group of guys and gals on this forum. Don't be bashful if you have any questions. I agree with everyone, you got a smoking deal on that baby. Great looking truck. Looks like you're about an hour north of me, there are quite a few members right around our area. Good luck and enjoy your new toy.

Yes, please post a pic of the SPID so we can get more info about your truck's equipment and options.

Re: Finally found her!

Looks great! The extra holes are for the six cylinder mounts. Your engine looks to be in the correct position.

cheyenne super is the top of the pile option package. Custom delux is the one step over nothing.
