show me your swapped seats

so i really like bench seats but mine is old and has just been beaten to an inch of its life and I've seen some purity cool seats where some one has swapped them out with another trucks seat and so how about you guys show me your seats and tell me what year/make it came from and if ya can how hard it was to do the swap

Re: show me your swapped seats

My Red dually came with a different front seat set up. I would love to know what they came out of. It is a 3 piece bench type setup with the center seat having a fold down back that is also a drink tray and such. Re-covered with aris seat covers.

1991 Suburban buckets into a ’78 K10. They look a bit different now that the Cabela’s Trailgear seat covers have been added.

I've seen two of those, one in a '86 or so suburban and the other in a half ton at the junkyard, the guy with the suburban said it was a factory option and tried to sell it to me. (I was buying the rims)

Re: show me your swapped seats

I still have the pics, this is what I'm talking about:

I didn't have the money then, or now, but I think they would be a good bolt in setup, I need to be able to seat 3 in there (Me and 2 Mini-mes)

That seat was on Craigslist, he was also selling the full electric doors, and whatever else anyone was interested in, he had bought the 'burb for the engine and trans...
The other seat was in the junkyard, I was interested but the wood was all warped and rotten, I think it was rained on for awhile.
Both are hit and miss, you just hafta know what you want and be ready to jump on it when it's there...

Is the seat belt bolted to the floor or seat frame - my truck is in storage and I can't remember, I 've got my heart set on some nice Corbeau seats...

Re: show me your swapped seats

poke, you can find stuff like that on ebaymotors. There's usually a seller or two that sells them. Most are two buckets with a flip up/down center seat. Here's a couple examples of them out there right now:

Re: show me your swapped seats

There used to be a different seller that had the C5s and a lot more, but I didn't see anything when I looked.

Seat packages are one of those things I would have a hard time buying on ebay. It's hard to gauge how thick the bottoms are, and I need to keep all the headroom and thigh-to-steering-wheel room I got.

Re: show me your swapped seats

i doubt youve seen beaten to death, the seats in my dads old work truck, 73 c20, are down to the seat frames, and hes still driving it. hes not found another bench he thought was worth swapping in i guess. Bought the old truck with 40k miles 18 or 20 years ago, has near 200k if not over on it now, still orignal motor, three sets of points, three water pumps, couple sets of plugs, set of wires, and a carb float lol. Damn good old truck. Heres a pic of a member on here who swapped in lincoln low backs, what im planning to do, just waiting on a set of black ones from my buddy at the yard to find me a set.
