several door questions

Hi guys, I have a few questions concerning the doors on my '69.
First of all, I have read that the doors have a spotweld from the factory, and sometimes it breaks, causing the door to "spread". This is what happened to mine, because the gap gets really big in the middle of the door, and the scrapers aren't even close to touching the window (all the water runs down into the door instead of being channeled off by the scrapers). Anyway, where is this weld located, and is there any way to fix the problem without welding, or do I need to find someone to weld it up?
Also, I was thinking about getting some one-piece glass for it and eliminating the vent window altogether. My vent windows are broken and I don't think I would use them even if they did work. What is the best kit to convert to one-piece glass, I saw a $400 kit at Brother's that looked pretty easy to install, or is there a better (cheaper) kit to get?
Thanks for any help,
John

Wes's is $50 cheaper than Brother's, thanks longnlow72 I hadn't seen that on his site before. Tim's site is still down, but his is probably about the same as Classic Heartbeat.

If you're going to go with the one piece glass, i believe that bracket that cracks would have to cut out anyway....? someone that's done this could tell you for sure
