Has anyone used the Kugel Komponents shifter arm?
If so, can you please shed some light on your installation? the vehicle is a 68 gmc, '72 non-tilt auto column (rebuilt), 350/th350 in the v8 position. Can't seem to get the angle or length right with the shift assembly... Any help or pics appreciated!
thanks in advance... |

Yeah I used it. got it on in about 15 minutes. All i had to do was cut down the rod it came with to fit and it works like a champ. I had to install it because the original linkage was smacking the header. I recommend it.

Ok, here are a couple of extra questions...
I'm assuming that your using the long kit 17"-23", correct? When your trans is in park at what angle does the shifter on the trans point? In terms of a clock... On the lower ball pivot did you tighten the bolt down or is it allowed to float/slide in the groove? Where in the slot (front, middle next to the bolt) does the ball pivot sit when in park? Thanks! |

Yeah I used the long kit, when it's in park it's sits about the 8 O'clock position. On the lower ball pivot I have it at the very end (closest to the engine) and it's tightened down so it can't move. I'll try to get pictures on here later so you can see it for yourself. And i'm not sure exactly how much i cut off the rod, just measured and cut a little bit off each end to try and even it up. Hope this helped out.
