WTB 14 Bolt Semi Float Differential
Looking for a 14bsf out of an '81-'87 4x4 3/4 ton, preferably with 3.42 gears and 11 inch brakes. Bonus if its out of a 4 speed truck so I can also get the driveshaft.
Please let me know what you have. Thanks, Danny

With the 10.5" ring gear? I'm looking for the 9.5" ring gear differential as I'm trying to upgrade my 1/2 ton and keep 6 lug wheels.

Re: WTB 14 Bolt Semi Float Differential
Are you still looking for this rear differential? I might have one. Have to pull the cover and check the ratio and check the brakes. It came out of an 86 GMC 2x4. Thanks, Ken

Re: WTB 14 Bolt Semi Float Differential
OK, glad to hear it. Shipping would have been a monster on that anyway. BTW, did I understand your post to say you can put six lug axles in this rear end? Thanks, Ken

Re: WTB 14 Bolt Semi Float Differential
Why would you expect this 3/4 axle to have the 14BSF (9.5" ring gear) 6-lug (you may be right, I'm not sure)? There are some other places to be looking for a 6-lug 14BSF. If you want a 6-lug, look at the 88-98 GM-1500s with a GVWR of 6,600. It's important to know whether it's a 2wd (65" WMS-WMS) or 4wd (70" WMS-WMS), because the widths are different. Also, starting in 2004, you could get the 6-lug, 14BSF in the Vortec Max 1500. I'm not sure what the width is on those. You might need a conversion u-joint for the driveshaft. Curious enough, there was actually a 5-lug 14BSF in the 454 SS trucks built between 1990-93. Anecdotally, there may be some 6-lug 14BSF in the mid-90s 2500 vans.
