Addict here too. I caught the disease 15 years ago and was able to supress it through my college years to some extent but its now in advanced stages! Bought 3 trucks since August lol! One is for parts though so that doesn't count, right?

Re: I believe Im addicted to these trucks.

I was doing just fine with my 71K10, very happy with just that truck. And then a buddy wanted to sell his car trailer for pretty cheap (its an ok trailer not a great one). When you have a car trailer of your own it is way too easy to drag stuff home. Ive had a ton of these trucks now ... This is the last one ... Oh Oh, look at that truck on Craigslist, I should go get it.

Never get a car trailer, it will make you go broke and you (ok maybe its just me) will never get a truck finished. =)

I was able to kick it 8 years ago....but it's back now. After bringing home two trucks and having three in my driveway the neighbours started calling

Addicted? Ha ha, well join the club. I spend more time involved in truck related activities than anything else. My wife calls this site " truck porn".

Re: I believe Im addicted to these trucks.

My daughter calls my truck,"THE OTHER CHILD"
And my friend calls it "MY OTHER GIRLFRIEND"
I've always loved these trucks, But this is the first one I bought.
Does this this mean I'm hooked now.
Destine to buy more and more of them.
Well, At least we have a support group here.

Re: I believe Im addicted to these trucks.

I'm not addicted. I've just had at least one,and up to 15,in my driveway for the last 38 years. It's not addiction when you have vehicles stashed in three different places around the state. It's known as responsible vehicular dispersement. Having parts stashed in four different buildings surely isn't addiction. It's a simple case of warehousing parts for the future. Everyone does that, right? Girlfriend? Oh dayum! I was supposed to pick her up from work at 9 last night! Uh...hold on. I gotta make a phone call.

No really! I can stop any time I want. Matter of fact,I stop thinking about trucks and parts quite often. Why,just the other day I did for 15-20 minutes. Scary, but I survived. It would have lasted longer but the 90 year old woman I am doing work for commented on my '72. we spoke the rest of the afternoon about trucks, swap meets, this wedsite, trips taken in these trucks, fond memories...well at least I did.

We are not Addicted. Addicts go to Rehab and talk about there problems searching for support......Wait a minute..... We come here and talk about our problems and look for Support... So then this must be Rehab and that means...

I'm an ADDICT!

Re: I believe Im addicted to these trucks.

I've got it pretty lucky as my GF of 5 years loves my truck. Her dad had a 68 GMC and she grew up riding in it to school every morning. I'm definitely becoming more addicted to these trucks though as one thing ALWAYS leads to another and there's never a stopping point.
