Truck I saw for sale, heavy mods, not for me

Some pics of a truck for sale on the side of the road. The workmanship of the mods is great (except for underneath, they did all this work but used slip on cab supports?!? And the floor repairs were sloppy in my opinion...) but not my style. The bed cover was made from 2 hoods and the tailgate lifts up with the cover. Also had a newer dash panel and door panels in it.

Re: Truck I saw for sale, heavy mods, not for me

Hmmm, I like a mix of old and new.... to a point. That grill just doesn't work for me. I like to mix stuff when it looks like it belongs there, but that grill just doesn't. And that bed I do like the bed cover idea, that's cool. Great color too!

Re: Truck I saw for sale, heavy mods, not for me

I think someone had some spare time and money, plus talent and parts, to concoct that ride. For all of the upgrades (if that is what it should be called), he/she coulda just gone and found an 88-93 GMC and swapped out the grille for the 67-72 style and the rest of it would be what he has constructed. Lot less work, that way, and the wheel openings would match.

Re: Truck I saw for sale, heavy mods, not for me

I bought a classic truck and I want people to know it is a classic truck. Why would you put new truck parts on an old classic truck. If you want a new truck BUY ONE!!!!

Re: Truck I saw for sale, heavy mods, not for me

OK I'm a big fan of that bed on our trucks, (but we have 3 of these trucks a shortfleet a shortstepper and 69 with the 96 stepper on it) but that grille is the ugliest thing i have ever seen in my life, nice bed cover though
