Carpet install
I'm installing an ACC carpet in my 67 C-10. What is the best way to cut the seat mount holes, make a small hole for each bolt or cut a square out so the entire mount is on contact with the floor? Thanks

Re: Carpet install
What I have found to work the best for me is to mark the areas with marker. Then using a razor blade, utility knife, etc. make an "X" on the marked areas. This will allow you to place the seat mounting bolts through the carpet while keeping the gap in the carpet to a minimum. Hope this helps.

Re: Carpet install
I put the seat on top of the carpet. If you have the seperate sound insulation underneath you may want to cut squares out of that or the bolts will be har to start.
Heres a cool(hot) tip, if you need to make bolt holes through the carpet, if you have a pencil type soldering iron, heat that sucker up and it will melt right through the carpet and seal the threads in the hole at the same time, stinks like crazy, but works like a charm. Get carpet positioned and from up under the cab start the seat holes and finish from the top, the rest you can locate by feel and melt right through.

Re: Carpet install
Same idea, just above your head. I just put a headliner back in my 81 4x4 today. Man those sunvisors were a biotch trying to start. Got in all in. Man it made the inside much quieter.
