lol.. I was thinking it was some sort of add-on power option for the engine.. .. that might be cool, add power windows and keep it looking original...

that's been out for at least 12 years now... I have been tellin myself now for 11 years... if I ever go power windows, that's the route I'm going.
Still ain't happened though.

I remember it from several years ago as well but I had forgot about it until the other night I stumbled on it again.
It is expencive but like in my case I want everything to look old, so some fancy billet power window buttons just aint gunna work. Also you cannot buy door pannels off the shelf for power windows on our trucks. That means if you want power windows its either cutom door panels or having your window crank spin as it goes up and down.
Just plain cool if ya ask me.

I had found some of those in a catalog about a year ago. At the time, I was going to go back with manual-crank windows. I've decided to go power since then, though, and I'll probably use this kind of switch. I like the idea of having the old look with power windows....

Does anyone know if there are schematics for how to roll down the passenger's window from the driver's side with this kind of switch?

I know the street rod guys have been using those for years.I read a couple of street rod mags since they seem to get cool stuff like this all the time.I also saw a fuel filler door for pick-ups in the street rod mags.It is a power unit that hinges up one boarrd of the bed to provide access to the filler neck of an underbed tank.

Homer J, I havent seen anything for driver side control of the pass window, but you could hide a regular rocker type just under the dash near the steering colum for that. You could contact autoloc to see if they already have the solution as well.

So why would you want these if you can just hide all the buttons? To keep the window cranks and make them useful to maintain the original look.

EDIT: you may be able to hide a small switch that changes the crank control from driver side to pass side as well.

Thanks for the reply (not wanting to thread-jack here, though!). I do want to go with electric, yet retain the original look, but not if I can't gain the convenience of rolling down the passenger-side window from the driver's side.

I've considered hiding a switch or something like that, but haven't given the circuitry much thought. Just wondering if I could maintain my laziness if someone else already had done the work.....

I saw on Two Guys Garage, they routed it through a relay, and then through a rocker switch, just hit the switch and it controls your window, and then hit it the other way and it contrals the other. They didn't say how they were gonna do it, though
