Parchment Interior

I just purchased a new blazer that originally came with the parchment trim option. Most of the original interior is gone but I have a few questions about what I would need to complete a close to factory correct parchment interior. The blazer was a factory medium olive color. The plan is to go with that body color or dark green.

1. What color carpet would have gone with this option?
2. Color of steering wheel?
3. What color dash pad?
4. This is the current back seat, this doesn't look like anything factory I have seen, what do you guys think?

Re: Parchment Interior

I have parchment interior in my 72.

1. Mine has rubber mats so I can't help you on carpet color.
2. Steering column is Sandalwood
3. Dashpad is sandalwood as is the top of the dash.
4. Someone redid your rear seat. It would be either solid parchment/off-white or have the highlander plaid inserts (which would be called out on your spid)

Re: Parchment Interior

The carpet is also sandalwood. To elaborate on Bouncytruck's reply, the steering column is sandalwood for non-tilt columns, but is black for tilt-columns. Additionally, the steering wheel is sandalwood, and the seats, seat belts, visors, door panels, and rear cargo panels are parchment. I'm a parchment interior guy and its taken a long time to gather all of the right pieces in the correct colors. Many are not reproduced anymore like the steering wheel.

Re: Parchment Interior

Can you post a pic of the options decal (SPID) on the inside of the glove box if present? It's possible your medium olive/parchment truck came with a plaid interior and/or black carpet or black wheel/column as mentioned. The SPID would help us in this regard.

Re: Parchment Interior

Nicely optioned Blazer. SPID tells us no plaid. Since not a CST I suspect it came with a rubber mat rather than carpet but not certain. Here's the one pic I could quickly find of a parchment K5 (bouncytruck's - really nice): http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...02&postcount=5

I've seen parchment interior CST K5s that have parchment visors with black dash pads, carpet, and column. What color is the metal on top of your dash ahead of the pad and under the windshield? GM painted this area to match the dash pad color in a flat finish. If still OEM paint it would confirm it had a sandalwood pad.

Re: Parchment Interior

My Suburban was ordered with medium olive paint and parchment interior. Nothing much to add other than no carpet. Rubber sandlewood floor covering and sandlewood dash and pad.

Mine came with tilt steering so the column and wheel are black

Re: Parchment Interior

Trucking company is picking up the blazer in the morning and hopefully it will get here by next weekend. I'll take some pictures of what I am currently working with and see what needs to change. Thanks for all the help!
