New to the forum. Rally wheel question?

I have a 72 with a 402 and 400th trans and 373 rear end. I have owned this truck for about 8 years it is a lwb with a 2-1/2 drop spindal in the front a 4" drop coil in the rear. I am in the beginning stages of complete restoration.

I am looking for a 17" or bigger Rally Wheel either steel or aluminum to replace the wheels I have 5 lug. I have no idea who even makes them or where I can get them. even some pics or leads could help.

Thanks

I got my chrome rally's with derby caps from this guy on Ebay. He is super honest and will order whatever you want. Click on "Ask seller a question" and get his phone #. Call him, he'll work a great deal with you! The wheels are made by Pacer and were shipped right to my house. Couldn't be happier!

ChevyDude,

Are the wheels you got from ebay like the photo? If so do mind if I ask what you paid in total... Those are exactly what I'm looking for to put on my 68...

thanks.

Yes.....those are the exact wheels I got for my lowered C-10. 15x7 in the front and 15x8 for the rear. Wheels are super nice and were delivered to my door including the shipping for $60-70 bucks a wheel. I bought the plastic derby caps from the same seller for around $40 bucks for all 4.

I'd love to see some pics of the 17" version of those wheels on one of our trucks! Anybody have some?

all these are 17" from WheelVintiques website. The only pics of one of "our" trucks was with some 16" ralleys. From their catalog it looks like they don't offer anything in the 17" ralleys except 8" width. I'm pretty much dead set on 9.5" width for the rear... They would probably make a CUSTOM one for enough $$.

I have been looking for some 18" to 20" ralley wheels, 5 or 6 lug, for a while myself with no luck. If anyone has any ideas let us know. About 4 years ago I had some custom pickup ralley wheels in 15"x14" with 9-1/2" b.s. made by Pete Paulsen(sp) for about $200 each. The project stopped shortly after getting it started, son was born, and now I want to get it going again but the small wheel pro street look is out in my area. Most companies I talk to just don't have the center stamping to fit the larger wheel diameters yet. They can make the 15" center stamping fit their 16" diameter rim but that is it for now. I would love to have the old school styling with the modern big wheel look. If I have to I will go with aluminum but even that is a hassle with my currently stock 6 lug setup. The modern 6 lug wheels have a smaller hub and won't fit like I would want without spacers.
