1957 chevy family truck
ok guys after years of reading other people threads i finally decide its my turn. keep in mind im going on a 2-3 year build. so this truck was originally my grandpas sometime in the 70's my dad got it till sometime in the 90's my older brother got it. were it sat in a high school auto shop in pieces till my dad took it back and restored it. the turquoise was sprayed on by my older brother 15 years ago.

Re: 1957 chevy family truck
so years and years ago my dad said it was time to sell it to be honest i was never a fan of this truck but i didnt want it to leave the family so i purchased it in hopes that my daughter would drive it when she got older. that all changed after i slapped the side pipes spider caps and a few other touches

Re: 1957 chevy family truck
Sweet ride.....so how much of the spring did you cut? So you've been driving it...any rubbing or wishing it was'nt quite that low? I really like how it sits Im getting ready to do a clip on my 57 burb. Im thinking about sinking the subframe into the frame an inch or so instead of cutting the springs. Cool that you saved your dads truck.

Re: 1957 chevy family truck
Just 1 coil and in the beginning I had issues but a friend of mine told me to switch to a pre 56 car wheel (pre 56 are 15 inch wheels) worked out there more shallow, the ralleys were sitting out a little to much so I had rubbing issues, the rides real nice I just added rear bags when I go up drive ways I was leaving half my bumper but now I just lift up the rear
