Re: What did you get done Labor Day 2011 edition

Not as much as I wanted. I finished up my trans x-member for the dually. Now there's room to run the exhaust within the frame rails vs. under them. I was hoping to get the motor painted but the cooler weather around here was courtesy of the wind which stirs up a lot of dirt/dust & is not good for a bare motor.

Maybe some color later in the week....

Re: What did you get done Labor Day 2011 edition

Finally built and installed some front shock mounts (and shocks) on the bagged S-10 chassis my 50 pickup body is resting on. Test ride was awesome, now I can drive it with one hand. LOL.

Next up is an all over coat of black primer and a shop name on the doors, done!

Finally pulled the trigger on an NOS 350 emblem for my 73-74 grill. Now all I need is some time to finish the project.

Re: What did you get done Labor Day 2011 edition

I replaced the PS Pump, watched the belt chew thru the high pressure line and spray PS fluid all over the place, installed a new high pressure line, and called it a day.

Re: What did you get done Labor Day 2011 edition

I finally got to go crawling for the first time since I broke my leg Memorial weekend. I only drove a couple climbs and road shotgun in my rig with a buddy driving. It was the best time I've had all summer.

If there are parts in those barrels, LMC should have a photographer on site documenting the delivery. Adds a whole new dimension to "rural route".

Re: What did you get done Labor Day 2011 edition

My truck finally rested while I completed bathtub installation, plumbing, and sewer connection in the addition to my house that I've been working on for months. The truck has been working hard, and constantly, since demolition in early April. See the thread:
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...17#post4884017
The tub came out perfectly, and FRANKENTRUCK enjoyed a day in the pasture.
Back at it tomorrow,
Todd.
P.S. Hope to be back at helping on the forum in a couple more months when construction is completed,...it's kept me kinda busy as G.C., plumber, and electrician! Along with the usual stuff.

Installed auxiliary lights under the rear bumper. Flip one switch and aux. lights turn on, turn switch off and put in reverse, backup and aux lights turn on. Pics upon request.

Installed a fresh K&N air filter on mine, and added the "Do NOT Discard" sticker, and bought some fender badges from KrazyRay.
