Thinking on running mickey thompson 29x15r20 on 20x12 wheels. Maybe 29x18r20 on a 20x15. Any suggestions???

I would be a little concerned they might rub on the trailing arms. I have 31.5 X 18 on a 15" rim M.T. ST Radials on my 67 Chevelle and them suckers are fat.

Link it inside the frame and go coilovers. Just not sure if I want to go that far for a few more inches when the 29x15r20 tires are fat already. And know they will fit with just tubs. Saw a few this weekend at goodguys

Looks good. I have an LQ9 in my 2003 Silverado SS. I really like the motor even in its stock form. (I believe it was rated 345/385 at the time.) Your motor definitely doesn't look stock! Doug

I'm the foreman at a fab shop and we just finished a lq9 swap into a 54 chevy pickup. I was so impressed with the power in stock form that I went with one for my truck. I'm hoping to hit 500 plus engine hp with mine. Can't wait to drive this beast. I would love to take it to sema this year but not sure if I can get it all done only working nights and weekends when I can and of course budget.

Sure do. Here are a few more. I've done it a few times at my work for customers. My advice. Measure a few different places. Level frame before and after. I clamp a piece of 1/4" wall tubing inside the cut to help line up before tacking and making sure frame is square. I am still going to add a plate to the inside for a little extra piece of mind but want to see where my Trans crossmember is going to land first. And then of course don't just weld the whole seam at once. 2" staggered stitches till you get it all welded. To much heat will warp the metal.

And thank you guys for the complements!! It helps that we do some crazy fabrication at my work. We do custom vehicles all the way to building semi trailers frome flat t1 steel plate. Here is a pic of a truck we are almost finished with. Our own custom designed air ride lift kit. What you guys think about this?

Well it's been a little while since I have had time to work on my c10. But here is what I did today after work. Fabbed up some motor mounts. And set the motor and Trans in for mockup.

Got my front tires in. Of course the rear are on backorder. I went with 29x18r20 mickey Thompsons. Going to be fun to squeeze them in there.

Well my rear tires finally came in yesterday. And they are wiiiiide. I love them. Going to have to go to coilovers which I pretty much figured. And now I have a brand new set of 4" drop coils that are no good to me. But it's way worth it when you look at these pictures.
