What drop?????

I'm getting ready to buy the drop for my 70 blazer. If I'm going with 5" in the rear, What looks best in the front? Thanks for the help, I know that you all have opinions.

Re: What drop?????

do you want it to look level? if so, I know in trucks there is about 1 1/2" - 2" difference between the front and rear. So like I dropped my front 2 1/2" and 4" in the rear. so if your dropping your rear 5" atleast 3" up front.

I am no expert but just what i have heard on other post and little research I have done. There are many people on here that are willing to help and know what they are talking about. You can also do a search for related topics is your best bet and always post pics. We like to see everyone else's beauties!

Re: What drop?????

I'm going 2-1/2" in front with 5" in rear. I'm running a 28.8" tall tire up front and a 29.3" tire in rear. hope this helps...
Sorry I have no pictures, it's in progress..

Re: What drop?????

2 1/2 front and 5 rear will keep it about level and is said by many to be the best. 31/2 front and you will have a bit of rake. I went 31/2 front with a 21/2 spindle and a 1in lower spring and 5 in spring in the rear. Now that I'm about done I'll be taking that 1 in spring out of the front and going back to a stock height spring, because I did not listen the first time and went with the rake look, I hear better now!!

Re: What drop?????

It will depend on what you're are wanting... rake vs. level. Everyone above has given great information, good luck with the decision!

Re: What drop?????

This truck is lowered 2.5" and 5"

This truck is lowered 3.5" and 6"

Both trucks have the same size tires and wheels front and back.

Re: What drop?????

I like 2.5" drop spindals and 2" drop springs for the front (4.5") & 5" or 6" drop in the back depending on how much rake you want.

Re: What drop?????

Thanks for all the advice. I'm going to go with 2 1/2" drop spindles and still haven't decided to add another 1" with the springs.
