factory a/c on a 350
I recently bought a 1970 GMC, it has factory a/c on the orig 396. I want to pull the 396 and put in a 350. Does anyone know if I can use the factory a/c without to many modifications?

the 350 compressor mounts on the passenger side....
if thats where yours is at then all you need are the brackets... by the way...your big block brackets will bring a good buck... |

I dont see much wrong with having a 396 for a spare either. BB ac brackets are sought after ... me included. I have a partial set of SB ones for trading partially if interested.
As for the swap... I think you may need only sb brackets, correct sb pullies for ac .... hmm I can help you there also. Anyway... good luck on the swap. Rod

just got it all together...going to change out two more o-rings and they all will be replaced...the old one's were hard as rocks... going with r134...thats what the compressor is rated for... i hear that it's never going to be as good as r12 but it got to be better than sitting in a 100 degree truck |
