ls engine mount help
Ok I am at the stage where I think I am going to kill my brother or he is going to kill me. We are putting a ls engine in with a vintage air. We tried one set and it had the engine sitting at a horrible angle in my opinion so I nixed that idea. So I am hoping/begging you guys to help me out on this. Pictures would be awesome
 as well.

Dirty Dingo mounts will let you move the engine to several different position allowing for a custom fit.

The Dirty Dingo mounts seem to be pretty popular. It allows quite a bit of movement allowing you to place the engine where you'd like. Several people have also ran the stock length driveshaft with the dirty dingo mounts.

I haven't actually used the Dirty Dingo mounts myself, but am planning on it. Check out the threads below to give you an idea of how the engine sits. If you check out the LS Swap section on the forum you will also find a ton of info on different types of mounts that work well. Some allow you to keep the AC compressor in the stock location, some allow you to use the stock driveshaft. Many different choices.

I used factory LS mounts from engine, just bought the $60 plates from jeggs.
My mechanic handled everything with no problem and I used factory drive shaft with no mods.. Not the best pic but might help for motivation....lol    Posted via Mobile Device |
