Re: Who's Done This

Hey, Cool ideas guys, might have to come up with something original like that. Just thought imight through this out there though "CrashED" don't hack your 67 hood, because it won't fit your 72 anyway. Just a heads up.

I think he plans to "make" it fit. That would be modifying a hood.

Re: Who's Done This

I might have tried to flatten it out some about 3/4 of the way back to follow the hood line. But that still looks KILLA' (especially for the price).

Curve the cowl a little more towards the back so that it flattens out and doesn't continue to go up at that angle. i'd say from about halfway to the back keep it 2-4 inches tall (whatever height it is in that area)

Re: Who's Done This

Looks good, will it hit the cowl or windshield when you open the hood? My hood isn't on my truck so I don't know what kind of clearance there is.

Looks good, definitely worth the time and effort. I might have to pull out an old hood of mine and give that a try. Probably stay 2" tall though. Bamm!

Re: Who's Done This

needed to be taller sooner/at the front and flaten out.

i cut a spare hood up to do this when i ver first got mine but i tossed it as i didnt have the time then. i just cutht eentire center out of a 2nd hood, i wanted to keep the wide flat hood rib and not the bolt on summit one.
