steel floor to wood floor?

can you change a bed that has a regular steel floor over to a wood floor?

you can but im sure its alot of work they also make a kit for over the steel but pricey hope this helps

Yes. I have also seen a few that mounted the wood bed on top of the steel floor too. Didn't look too bad either. Like said above someone makes a kit to do just that, though pricy. I think to convert you need a new head board, and all the under bed braces replaced.

long box or short? I have a long box wood bed that is in pretty good shape if you are interested. The crossmembers and bed front should be the only significant differances. i would be willing to trade those pieces from mine for your steel bed front if its in good shape. we just each pay the shipping for the parts we are receiving.

I will be doing this conversion soon and from what ive seen Mar-K is the way to go.
