yes, factory correct interior and exterior paint scheme. The 3 character paint RPO on the SPID should start with a 5 for this conventional two-tone. Nice looking truck!

Re: Is this a factory style? White roof only?

Thanks for the answer. I bought it yesterday and i usually do way more research. I got it for $4k Canadian or about $2900 US. It needs rockers both inner and outer small patches in cab corners plus some work on the box. 93,000 original miles I will be the third owner. Big block Sierra Grande Camper Special. Log books for every fill up and repair since 1984. Runs like a clock. I had about 20 minutes to make up my mind. I think at the price I can fix it and not be buried

Welcome from another Vancouver owner, and congrats on what looks like a great truck! I've been around Vancouver for a long, long time, but do not recall ever seeing that truck. Very similar to a 71 I once owned.

More pictures, and your plans for the truck would be great.

BTW, nice gun rack!

Hi Long Box

It came from Comox on Vancouver Island. A guy bought it and then found the Bronco of his dreams so I got it. He never evened registered it just gave me the papers from the original owner. He needed space asap so I got a decent deal.

Re: Is this a factory style? White roof only?

Nice. This forum is a great resource for those of us with these trucks--there's a heckuva lot of knowledge from the members to help. Your truck looks like a fairly highly optioned example. Can you post a photo of the SPID decal from the glovebox door? Or, tell us what options it came with. It looks totally stock right now, which I like.

And, like mine, no AC, why didn't more Canadians order AC on these things when they were new??

plans

I plan on keeping it stock for now. I butchered a lot of muscle cars in my youth making them go fast so now I'm kind of digging the restoration side more. No plans for a frame off. Replace the rockers first. Interior needs new carpet as the original is faded to almost white. New dash pad and new arm rests and it needs a steering wheel and a horn button. Seat looks like new and the door panels and interior paint are good. Considering a tach and tilt as only upgrades using original parts. It's got some funky wiring for a camper under the hood and that's going to go back stock. Basically small projects that incrementally make it better. Too many projects get taken apart and stay that way.

Nice truck, welcome to the forum from another Vancouver area owner...
My suggestion would be get a PO box across the border (24/7) or (ship happens) and ship your parts to it. You will save $$$. We really get hammered up here on pricing.

funny you mention that

I have been using TSB Shipping in Point Roberts WA for at least 10 years. Even with a crap Canadian dollar I save money on shipping and UPS's BS fees for "customs broking"

Hello from another (local) Canadian....Victoria side.
That looks like a fairly straight, unmolested truck....which is a nice way to find them.
For $4k (Cdn.) that's a good return. The fact that it is driving and running great means it starts returning value to you on day one....which is a bonus.
I would recommend to drive it for a while to get used to it and to decide where to start of focus and thus 'pick the battles'.
Definitely agree on the tach/tilt thing tho'....particularly the tilt, I love that option...lol.
If you are looking for anything particular shoot me a PM and I might be able to help.
Again, nice buy!!
all good

Re: Is this a factory style? White roof only?

First off, welcome from a fellow Vancouverite! It's surprising how many locals there actually are on here. I almost never see our trucks on the road around here, so I don't know where they're all hiding...

As far as why a/c seems to be non-existent here, maybe we're just on the wrong side of the country. My parents bought a brand new 75 Blazer ( I know, newer ) with a/c off the lot back east. Two years in the salt and the body was toast. Holes you could put your fist through everywhere when they got rid of it. So maybe they did exist, but just rusted away.

Canadian no A/C

I think they figured why have the expense for a couple of weeks.

My other problem is Caddies. I bought a '66 Eldorado for parts. It was a Canadian car and was A/C delete because A/C was standard on Eldorados.
