Lookin for a pic with rally's or ?

Hey folks,

I'm running 6.6 or 7" rallys now with bfg at 235/75/15's. I know these tires are for 4wd's. I have a set of 8" rally's and rings ready to go, but with the current situation I'm in. I'll have to use these tires for another year or two. So does anybody have a pic of their 2wd vehicle with 8" rally's and 235's?? I also have a 2/4 drop.

Or should I just wait and drive around on these. And hope for a good deal to pop up. Right now the local shop will swap and balance for $8 a piece.

Here is the '76 2wd I had. It has the 8" Rally wheels and some larger tires on it. I am not sure about the size since I got them from a friend, but they were on his 4by Ford truck.

Hope it helps.

Thanks guy's. Do you rember if the wheel/tires on the 8's filled the wells out. What I mean is, did the tires come closer to the fenders?

I have what is known locally as the "scared cat" look. thin tires tucked in way to much under the sheet fenders.

It filled them out well, remember, the rear track width is narrower than the front..they came this way from the factory. Here is another pic to give you a visual.

Re: Lookin for a pic with rally's or ?

On my 84 Im running 7's in the front & 8's in the rear. The only difference is 1/2" out & 1/2" in. I used the 7's in the front to clear my lower control arms with the drop spindles...corn

I was going to post a pic but the site wont let me right now. Ill try again later...

Re: Lookin for a pic with rally's or ?

cornfed what size tire you running?

capt I could probably live with your set up. Nice truck.

thanks all for the pics.

I really can't nail down tire sizes for these trucks.

The rims I have I know were not orig to the truck say's the PO. They are narrow. That's why I got the 8"

Size (height) I really like these 235's but when you look from the back they are really tucked under there.

thanks

That is because the rear track width is shorter than the front.

Re: Lookin for a pic with rally's or ?

HEy I just saw that BFG sells an AT 325/60/15. That's 12.9 wide and 30" tall. Ant thoughts If I just run these on the rear with my 8" rims and 235 up front. As I type I don't like the image in my brain..

Re: Lookin for a pic with rally's or ?

I would not run over a 275/60/15 on an 8 inch wheel. Anything wider looks odd. A tire as wide as you mentioned might not even be safe on an 8 inch wheel.

I like the look of a 255/70/15 or a 275/60/15 on an 8 incher. You can see what the 255/70/15 tires look like on mine, lowered 2.5 inches in the front, on the pic at the top of my website.
