SWB question

Do stepsides and Wide bed 6' trucks share the same frame. I'm considering buying a Stepside and putting a wide bed on it.

Thanks.

Re: SWB question

Things to consider--wiring harness, bumper, bumper mounts, spare mount, tailgate---the rest is push-pull. Things to check for if you are buying a used fleet bed----using a magnet check for bondo in the outer wheel arches, especially where that concave indent makes it's 1/2 circle--impossible to fix easily if previously patched up with crap. Also check the very top end of the bed floor in the back where it wraps down over the rear floor support----that is the first area on a fleet bed to rust out due to trapping dirt and moisture in the little pockets. The rest is BAU--. Huck
