Will this rearend fit under my 72 1/2 ton???
I have a 72 half ton i just got that has a nice motor with a cam,heads,intake,carb...all performance ect. Not sure how much horse. has a th350 tranny. but the rear end is not posi. i have been looking for a beefier rearend. found this on craigslist today for $100 bucks. my truck does have coil springs in the rear. it is lowered 3" if that matters. here is the ad

Did they make 3/4 tons with rear coils? I am wanting to say they didn't, but I may be way off track.

If the rear end looks like this it is an HO72 and it will fit. Brake parts can be a challenge .. mine is going over to discs.

coils were standard in non longhorn 3/4 ton chevy trucks 67 - 72.
Only one tons, longhorns, and 4x4 were strictly leaf springs. That eaton HO52 will go into your half ton, but that doesn't sound like what you want. Are you looking to get a performance type rear, or are you looking to haul loads? |
