door panel and arm rest removal.

I nerd to pull the driver side armrest and door panel off my truck. I can't see what's bonding the arm rest on . Flat head , Phillips, or bolt . Its on a 1972 GMC. Can anyone help me out ?.

your gonna need a door window roller crank tool if you dont have one. It is kinda flat and has a u-shaped groove in the end to push the clip off the window roller. A tip the clip opening should line up with the end you put your hand on to roll the window.

You can also remove that clip with a 90 degree bent dental pick.

Look closely with a flashlight. You'll see the clip and how it fits. Do one side and keep the other door intact so you have a reference for putting it all back together.

A screwdriver, pair of needlenose pliers, hammer, 30 minutes or so and lot of swearing works too.
