69 4x4 frame
I looked and can't find the answer I am looking for using the search function.
I have a 69 4x4 frame that is shot under rear spring hangers. I have a lead on a C10 leaf spring frame. Does anyone know if the 2wd leaf spring and 4wd frames are the same from the cab mounts back? 4X4 frames are getting harder and harder to come by and would like to save one if I can. |

Re: 69 4x4 frame
No they are not. The 2wd frames are wider over the axle than the 4x4 frames. That being said you may be able to use some of the cuts from a donor 2wd frame to piece your K frame back together, the rear axle section probably won’t work though.

Re: 69 4x4 frame
Thanks for the information. I guess I am looking for a frame or maybe a 4x4 that has been wrecked in the front, or maybe a Unicorn would be easier to find.

Re: 69 4x4 frame
I know where a few frames are this way but that’s a long way from NC.

Re: 69 4x4 frame
I wonder what shipping would be. I would think the same people that ship cars would also move a frame. I will check into it and see what I can find out or if anyone has done it before.

You might Reach out to member undertaker72 (Kevin) I bet he’s probably got a few of them in various stages of completion. He’s located in Utah and a really good guy to deal with.
