My 50th Birthday present-AFTER PICS!
We'll, I've been a busy boy working on my Birthday present from my wife and kids. Swapped out the camper mirrors, new chrome bumpers, new wheels and tires, 4/2 lowering springs with shocks relocated, and she had the shop truck paint added. Thanks to this website and all of you for helping me. I spent lots of evenings reading up!!!

Re: My 50th Birthday present-AFTER PICS!
Thanks! Sorry about not spinning the interior pic. I put some vintage hot rod magnet stickers on the inside for a different look. My wife is 4 years younger than me so I better start saving up for her 50th. 😄

There isn't anything I DON'T like about that truck, except that it's not mine.

I love the Gold color of that period. Add to it its a '68 3/4, and that truck is perfect. How about pics of the SPID and engine bay?

Re: My 50th Birthday present-AFTER PICS!
Thanks for all the kind words. I'm very happy with it. There's a few things left on the " to do" list but nothing major. There never 100% done!!!

Looks great! The drop is perfect for the C20. I would love to see a write up on how you did the painted letters.

Re: My 50th Birthday present-AFTER PICS!
Seth7843, My wife hired a painter gal to paint the logo on. The gal has done quite a few of these. When we went to pick it up she said she mixed the paint with something to make it look old and weathered. I guess I'm not much help. I know people send just their doors to her and she will do them but my wife wanted my bed sides and tailgate done too so we just drove it to her shop. Her company is Weeks Ends Painting in Lake Elmo, MN. I can give a phone number if you want to talk to her.
Thanks!!! |
