67 C20 rear brake

The rear wheels are locked up and I need to move this truck. There are no holes at the adjusters. I removed the brake lines so that pressure is zero.

I figured the adjuster holes have a knockout plug but the trailing arms are in the way of getting a good shot with a punch and hammer.

The truck will be stripped to the frame for rust removal and painting.

Is it the parking brake? You could cut the cables at the backing plate. Then try to brake the shoes loose.

Re: 67 C20 rear brake

Could be. The cable and housing was extremely rigid so I beat on it with a 4 lb. hammer. The cable itself has some slack at the joint but it may be solid at the drum.

The frame is really rusty from the cab back.
