I just bought one and I want to know how much the 13.5" wheel effects steering ratio. Anyone that has one want to shed some light on the situation?

steering ratio?..

a smaller steering wheel doesn't have any effect... except it's smaller.

Really? I figured I'd go from 3.5-4ish turns from lock to lock (or whatever the stock is) to a little more from lock to lock.

you cant tell the difference but its alot more comfortable in the cab the lttle of difference goes a long way in comfort

you'll be moving your hands a lesser amount... because of the reduced diameter, but it will still be 900 degrees or w/e or rotation.

Oh ok, thanks guys. I feel like I'll be a lot more comfortable in the cab since I'm pretty big and I feel like the wheel is in the way. And plus this one is a lot thicker so it'll be more comfortable in my hands too.

i just added the GT grant wheel (13.5) in mine and it's soo much nicer to drive now. more leg room, and i feel an increase in handling since the wheel is much more compact.

It will make the wheel a little harder to turn because you don't have the same amount of leverage, but with the super powerful power steering in these trucks that's not an issue.

I like the stock wheel. I had a small Grant wheel before but the top of the wheel was directly in the way of the gauges.

LOL my GT steering wheel is in the way of my guages to but I would not trade it for the world cause something about the size and the way it looks just feel right to me.

LOVE IT. you wont notice anything but how much better it is, the adapters can get kinda pricey, and be prepared to lose that horn, the horn adapters never work right for me.

Yeah the horn didn't work for me, my brother rigged a temp one off to the side. Thinking of adding it to the dash next to the headlight switch eventually. Love it though glad I made the switch.

Haha installed mine tonight, the horn wasn't working right. It would honk with the button sometimes and one time it just stayed going with no button pushed.
I might wire it up to the buttons under the grip on mine (never seen that before but thought it was really cool. It's like NOS buttons but underneath the leather.)
And I bought the cheap hub adapter, wanted the nice metal one but they only had the polished one and I wanted the black one.

I bought mine off ebay for $90 shipped and love it, much more room and more comfortable than the stock boat wheel.

IMO 13.5in is too small for something as big as a truck.

The four-spoke Camaro wheels aren't too bad, they're about the right size.

I found a good Buick Skyhawk T-Type wheel (same as the GN T-Type, etc.) in the pick-and-pull for $5 a few years back, it's just the right diameter to feel right in the Sub (stock ratio box, but I had it rebuilt by Lee Mfg with a 33oz/in spool valve) and it's got a nice fat leather rim. Bolted right on.

Exactly like that. My poor Suburban's got a badge-engineering identity crisis, with Chevy badges here, GMC badges there, and the Buick 'T' in the wheel.

Buick used the same wheel on a few different early-to-mid-'80s pre-airbag 'T-type' models, they're a bit larger diameter than most "sporty" steering wheels but have a fatter, grippier rim than the Camaro wheel.

At the time I grabbed mine eight or so years ago you could find them in pick-n-pull-type junkyards, they seem to be rarer now. I think they were made in gray, red, and black; mine's gray.

Hint if you do run into one and need to pull it yourself - only a couple of the 'socket-head capscrews' that hold the horn button cap on are real. Don't screw up the horn button assembly trying to remove the fake screws
