01 Tahoe Keyless Entry issue
I bought an 01 chevrolet tahoe the other day and it came with a key fob and the person said it used to work but for some reason stopped working.
So I've had the fob tested and it sends a signal. I've checked the TBC fuse. So another thing is the vehicle doesn't automatically lock the doors when I start driving. The power door locks DO work. What do I need to do to get my keyless entry working ?

Re: 01 Tahoe Keyless Entry issue
Programming the doors to lock automatically is in the owners manual. Don't have one near by to tell you how.

Re: 01 Tahoe Keyless Entry issue
I was able to get the auto locks reprogrammed and that works now. I'm still at a loss on the keyless entry. I've done the reprogramming by doing the turn key on and off thing while holding unlock (or lock can't remember) button and no change. I know the fob sends a signal because of the tester at O'rielly's. I don't really want to take to a dealership.

Re: 01 Tahoe Keyless Entry issue
I found these instructions on the web.
Close all the vehicle doors. Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder. Press and hold the DOOR unlock switch. While holding the DOOR lock switch in the unlock position, cycle the ignition ON, OFF, ON, OFF. Release the DOOR unlock switch. The doors will lock and unlock to confirm the program mode. Press and hold the LOCK button and the UNLOCK button simultaneously on one keyless remote. After a delay of approximately 15 seconds , the doors will lock and unlock to confirm the programming of that transmitter. Repeat the previous step to program up to four transmitters. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN (one more click forward) position in order to exit the keyless entry transmitter mode. Operate the transmitter functions in order to verify correct system operation WES
