Interest in 6 cyl. parts
I have a 6cyl that's about to go to scrap. Just wanted to know if anyone needs any parts. No p.s. or air, or pulleys.

If it's functioning, i'll take it. I got two other ones sitting on my floor right now. Can you give me a PM? I can come pick it up, I live in town by the capitol building.

Guys, I've got the engine. 68shortstep, I've not only got the one currently on the engine, I've also got a spare that I've cleaned up. Are you talking about the thermostat housing or the ball-shaped thing that connects to the radiator hose on the other side of the thermostat?
Shoot me a PM. I promised uncle I'd take care of it for you.

I am looking for a stock 250 6 cyl air cleaner top (mine has been goobered) and heat riser tube (missing in action) for my 69 C-10. I am also looking for a clutch pull rod and 3 speed shift linkages (really need the 1st/reverse). Might you have any of these items? What the heck, what shape are the intake/exhaust manifolds in? It might be good to have some good spares.
Thanks. |

Looked today, no luck. I have a few more places I'll check tomorrow. You can check with Shifty about the intake and exhaust, because he got those when he picked up the engine.

Ain't it amazin how popular 6 bangers get when the price of gas goes up!! All you need is a nice tight one hooked up to a 700R4 and some 308 gears---then hit your right foot with a big hammer so it swells up three times it's normal size and you will probably get 25mpg!hehehehehe

I assume that "the piece that goes to the valve cover" is the metal spacer with the rubber hose and metal elbow that fits in the valve cover? I really need the metal heat riser tube and air cleaner top. Thanks for looking. I will see if I can get both pieces in one deal, since shipping on parts from two sources will cost as much as the parts themselves.
Thanks again. |
