But this guy is the bomb! Saw this in town this morning and happened to have my camera. I love the way he clears the tires w/o tubbing.

Pretty new paint, painted over things I might not have, but it sure is shiney.

No frills under the hood, just an engine that looks like it might not be stock.

I like the adjuster on the bed chain, but how r u supposed to carry anything in the bed ?

That's not a truck, it is a HIGH PERFORMANCE machine!! In all reality, a piece of wood and away you go. It is a nice looking truck, how much is it, is the real question? If it is stupid high then its a deal breaker, but if he wants $2500 or something then I am sure we all could overlook the bed thing and score a nice truck (then fix the bed!)

You're halfway there, I think the asking price was $4800.

Are those hacked up railroad tracks in the back between the frame rails?!? Jeez talk about priorities being out of whack...no A/C, no love for the engine, no PB or PS but its got a Monster tach, shiny paint and late model buckets baby!!

Hum... this does 2 things for me, first I didn't know how the bed was bolted on so now I know, a special thanks to Krue for helping me out there. Second, now I can save some time and coin with anti wheel rub set-up instead of a "mini" tub for the wheels. That's awesome!

That is the second time I have seen the railroad rail in a short bed. The last time I saw something like that was in an old 68 short big block truck that I cut up at my former employers place, dont fear no real loss the engine and tranny were long gone it was just a cab, wasted, and a frame with a short step box, wasted, front clip, fenders good rest wasted and a nice seat! It looked like some one tried to make a drag truck but went real wrong about it. That one, krue, is pretty cool. Great pics!

Rail he used appears to be 112#, meaning is weighs 112# per yard. So he has added between 300-400#. If he had left the bed in, ....

I also like the bedliner sides he added. Gives it a real touch of class.

On the positive side I like the blacked out door handles, radio mast, front wheels and grill shell. Along with the lack of emblems & trim it does have a clean
10-footer look. If you could add rear wheels that look the same as the front and black out the wiper arms & bumpers... hmmm

Maybe a Harley-Davidson Badge on the tailgate...

yeah i like the tire clearance tools he used..looks like somthing any self respecting hillbilly would do..those rail road irons,,make good weights for traction,,ive seen then hand them off the front and rear for bumpers..i had to use a 3 foot section one time to get a rail buggy to turn..wasnt mine,,just did the work on it...but i think hes way to high on his price..but it does give me hope if i ever sell my 68,,i can clean up on it,,oh,,wait i own it,,so i wont get the original price for it..

You be sorprised what self respective hillbillys can do. We use recliners for lawn furniture,sofas in the front porch, we put not working TVs on top of not workings ones, etc

Hey - I have seen worse, and thank god it's not against the law to "put the rig to it" or I think we'd all be out of business. I don't fault the guy for trying - but geez man get the list of "to do's" in order - this is like the ol - new wipers on a broken sheild.
The good thing is that as bad as this guy has hacked this girl up - she is still rollen and still alive - Another one saved from them scrapper!!!!!!!!!

The last one I saved from the scrapper - some moron welded a bar from the top of the 3rd member and bolted it to the bottom bed rail - because he said that the shocks were out and he didnt have the money to replace them, it was just too bouncy - Same truck won 2nd in class last fall at a local sqeeze meet.
Like the guy says at the end of American Muscle Cars "and remember, dont crush 'em restore them!"
