Moog part numbers for my '63
I have been looking at replacing my idler and pitman arms. I have found the Moog site's catalogue and it is very helpful for looking up the parts for my truck, but have found that if you have a Moog part number and want to check out it's application you can't do it.
I want to find out if a Moog k483 is a good idler for my '63. The catalogue says a k14 is the right one. Can anyone give me a hand here? Greg

Re: Moog part numbers for my '63
I can't find the K483 listed anywhere. Not on the net or the moog catalog. I would guess this is an obsolete number. You really need to find a parts store with a paper catalog, probably and old one. If you have the part in hand, compare it to the one on your truck.
There is a part # lookup on the moog catalog site. After you click on the catalog & training link you get a vehicle selection page. Just above the orange letter header, click on part number. But the K483 isn't listed.

Thanks Fred.
I tried that route and you are right - it doesn't come up. I was hoping someone here might have access to a paper version of the catalogue. I will keep looking. Greg

I think your best bet would be an old-fashioned parts store, if there are any in your area. Some of them save their old books just for this reason. They know that once a part number gets changed, the supplier takes the info out of the catalog.
