Trouble mounting a starter to a 94 2.2
i can get both bolts in but only one at a time, each time i put either one in it throws off the alignment of the other bolt hole, any advice or similar experiences?

Do you have the old starter to match the holes with?

its the original starter, a rock hit the oil filter and the engine locked up so i bought another 2.2 and dropped n the truck
