Chevelle SBC Headers/Manual trans?
Has anyone used the Chevelle 3/4 length headers with a manual trans?Which ones were we talking about anyway?I,d like to know the maker and a part number.Wouldn`t it be the same as a manual Chevelle?

Re: Chevelle SBC Headers/Manual trans?
I just dropped a set of dynomax 3/4 length headers in my 72 automatic. They slid in with no problems. I've heard that brand come up a bunch in these discussions.
I don't think they would clear the z-bar in my 67 4x4 manual. all the clutch linkage happens at the same place that the pipes join in to the collector. Maybe on a 2wd, but I doubt it.

Re: Chevelle SBC Headers/Manual trans?
That`s what it looked like to me.I saw a mock-up engine at a parts store yesterday and that`s why I thought I`d ask.I`d like to get more scavanging than block huggers.I may look at running a hydraulic linkage.I want the 3/4s and an M22.

Re: Chevelle SBC Headers/Manual trans?
Anyone use Camaro/Firebird 3/4 length Headers?I just like how 3/4 lengths run in a straighter angle and still have some length. If I can`t get out of box to fit,I`m considering custom-builts.Block huggers are not enough for what I want because they just run into a pipe-sized elbow.Full lengths are bad for ground clearance,so....3/4s,just right.I feel like Little Red Riding Hood.
