Re: My '68 C20 On TV & In Movies
I have a "no naked men in the back of my truck" rule.
Pretty cool, though.

Re: My '68 C20 On TV & In Movies
LOL. May not matter with a truck in partial primer, but I've heard that if you have a nice car (not that the truck's not nice, but I mean sensitive black paint or whatever) that car casting companies can be pretty hard on a vehicle.
After all, to movie people it's no different than any other piece of set equipment. They will not treat it like an automotive enthusiast will. And they sure wouldn't treat it like you would have. If your vehicle is fairly durable and you won't be upset if the chrome bezel around your AC vent gets fingerprints like I would, you'd probably be ok. More likely it would get damage, they pay your insurance or for the damage, at market rates for old cars, and send you on your way. Read the fine print in the contract, that's for sure. Just relating what I've heard. The OP knows orders of magnitude more about this topic than I do, I'm sure. I'd love to hear what the damage clauses in the contract are like.

Quote:
To some extent that may be correct. I have used and drive all 8 of my cars on movie & and TV sets, From Men in Black 3 to Boardwalk Empire and many more. I've had some issues on set from people leaning on them to being hit in the rear by another driver. If your anneal about your car you will have a nervous brake down by the end of the 12 hour day. Any of my cars have been fixed are at a repair shop I chose and payed for by the Production Co. If you have a very valuable car stay away from the movies....
