Heads

I have a stock 350 motor, I'm looking for a good pair of heads. Any suggestions? I'm trying to keep it under 500$

Re: Heads

A good budget head I've heard about is ProComp, you can find them on ebay for I've heard in the low to mid $300's already assembled just have to put them on the motor.

You can check out this link.

Re: Heads

lots to choose from for sure, I had good luck with a set of World heads, S/R or stock replacement..they come assembled with a 3-face grind, screw-in studs and either center bolt, or side bolt for your valve covers..They also are extra beefy in their castings, so if you are not looking to add weight to your rig, might not want these. I sold mine after running them for a couple of years for $200.00, I think new are around your projected budget.

Why do you need heads on a stock engine? Stock 350 will have high cc heads and dished pistons. H.O. 305 heads will give you the 58cc chamber and bump up compression for more power. Coupled with 1.6 rockers and a nice intake you should get a nice kick in the pants. Another good head is the corvette l98 heads or zz3. Both small chamber heads with better flow than the 305 heads.

Vortec heads will kill all the above easily and can be had cheap too.

And in then there is another way to get a good boost. A comp 266xe intake and headers will make more difference than any head will
