trailer fenders!

hey, was wondering if trailer fenders is what everybody is using for tubs?

was thinking of fitting some tubs in the rear for now..but im not sure how wide/tall they need to be. i have 15's on it now but plan on 22's next year, so they need to clear those i suppose.

or if anyone is using anything else, i would like to hear about em...thanks!

Re: trailer fenders!

yes you can use trailer fenders. a buddy of mine got a tandem axle fender and cut in half to run it all the way to the firewall. it worked out pretty slick in the end.

Re: trailer fenders!

Our shop truck 67 we are building I took the stock wheel tubs in the bed and widened them and added 6 inches to them and they worked out perfect for the 22 inch rear wheels and it layes out hard.

For the front wheels tubs we are making some custom inner fender wells now on the truck and these are 100% custom and will not be forsale but when we are done with we will post some pics up on here so you all can check them out.

Re: trailer fenders!

Sounds sick Justin. I can't wait to see the shop truck. How's the burb coming along?

Kev I actually looked into rear fenders on a fleetside truck. Modify them a bit and they will fit and look good.

Re: trailer fenders!

ya i looked into stock tubs that i could widen, but unless i get free sets, id be going backwards lol

i was an idiot when i took out the stock ones and just cut them all to hell..so im trying to do something cost effective and still looks decent. trailer fenders were the first thing that came to mind, but there seems to be a lot more sizes than i thought lol

for the front, im def. thinking of using tandem axle fenders since all i need is one to make both sides

Re: trailer fenders!

*showoff*

lol...j/k best tubs i seen by far!

i think i have spent way too much in this thing already lol, i will probably keep the cost down and go with some trailer fenders up front

what size fenders are people using for the rear to clear a 22" wheel?
