Newby question - Window seal?

The driver's side window seal on my 83 K20 is deteriorated, and I don't want rain and snow dripping down into the door and causing rust.

How do I remove and replace this rubber seal? Do I have to take the door apart? Where can I find replacement seals?

Thank you,

Bud

The seal that run around the glass? You have to remove the glass from the channel to get it in there.

Re: Newby question - Window seal?

I'm probably not describing it right, but it is the rubber seal that rests against the bottom of the outside of the driver's window. It looks like the previous owner drove around with the window down, resting his arm on the door and the rubber wore out.

Re: Newby question - Window seal?

Thanks for the sources.

My vent windows whistled badly, so I used clear silicone caulk around the outside to seal that up. I plan on cutting through the silicone with a razor blade to allow use of the vent come summer.

I sell all those seals also. I just haven't added them to the catalog yet. Another source is the Dealership.
