Got Big Block Head question???
Hey Everyone: Its been a while since I've posted last, but been super busy. I picked up yesterday a couple pairs of heads for a BBC from a guys that had no use for them. Their in super terrific shape and it was a real deal and a half. The first pair numbers are 336781 and the second pair #'s are 346236, just wondering what I could do to either pair of these Monsters to make a nice set of iron heads. Could anyone tell me which set would be the best for me to work with, and the other set I will sell to help build up my set. Thanks for any help you can give me. JoAnne

the 781s are great heads, people routinly have bigger valves put in em for performance use, just remember, compare cost before sticking alot of money in em,you can buy brand new ,complete Merlin heads for under 1000.00.

If they are the rectangular intake port heads they are good, sorry, don't know big block head numbers. If they are the oval port heads, make sure its not the crappy small port heads used on the 70's on up 454 truck engines. Make sure its either the car 454 heads or the older 396/402 oval ports.
