Stainless steel tailgate eye bracket
Does anybody sell tailgate eye bracket in anything other than zinc plated? Polished stainless steel would be perfect to match my chains. My problem is I always end up scratching them, then they start to rust.

Re: Stainless steel tailgate eye bracket
Sorry I'm not able to answer your question, but did you notice that Brothers had the REGULAR PRICE and the SALE PRICE listed and they are EXACTLY the SAME? Their marketing department gets an "F". We all know that most sales are just hype anyway. But that advert kinda rubs your nose in it.
I understand if you wanna keep the chains. However, I was at a recent auto fair and there was a vendor with a very nice display showing their latch kit. See photo. EDIT** I just clicked the link again and the sale price/regular price disappeared. I guess they read my mind. OK, so they get a C- instead.

I like that latch setup. Did you get the vendors name or any info?

Re: Stainless steel tailgate eye bracket
Very sorry. I didn't get it because I'm not at that stage of my resto yet. I am thinking it was the Truck Shop from Orange, CA. They showed up at the Auto Fair in Charlotte, NC because they now have an East Coast Retail Center in NC. WooHoo!

Re: Stainless steel tailgate eye bracket
Im not at the point of needing them either. I do get info from any vendor I see that has parts of interest and keep them in a folder in the shop. Other wise I'll never remember.

Re: Stainless steel tailgate eye bracket
Hidden latches and some cables work and there isn't that big bulky metal latch hanging off the inside of the bed.
