brake mc/booster help
On my 70 GMC w/ 4 wheel drums, I went to replace the MC and have been stumped ever since. I attached some pics of what I have. The booster was on the truck prior to me getting it in 1999. The MC I got does not work with the booster, not sure what the booster is from or what year MC to ask for. Hopefully the pics will help. I have the booster as installed, real short rod. A booster from a 71 chevy and pics of the new MC. Help me out. Thanks,
Jim

Re: brake mc/booster help
It almost looks like a booster from a new truck?

Re: brake mc/booster help
Isn't that mc a manual brakes Mc(the deep bore in the back)? If so is the rod long enough to engage the Mc? What's it exactly doing?

Re: brake mc/booster help
I think you need the extension rod placed between the booster and MC. That should fix it.
This looks to be correct booster.

Re: brake mc/booster help
The rod is not hitting the MC piston. I bought a MC for a 72 K20 and it has a small dimple for the rod to engage.
